Three years ago, we started a process of evaluating and rigorously analyzing the environmental impact of all our activities. The information, gathered in the Piquadro Group Sustainability Report, provided us with the elements to outline the path to be taken regarding inclusion, territory, and the environment. Already active for a decade in the social field with projects of the Famiglia Palmieri Foundation to promote and enhance diversity, we have also decided to allocate significant resources to the development of our local reality through the revitalization of the Corno alle Scale ski resort. However, the most important effort has inevitably focused on the protection of the planet, as we needed to redefine our own offering. With the progressive inclusion in our range of products made from ecological materials, highly-performing nylon derived from recycled waste, Piquadro is becoming increasingly green.

Piquadro has been collaborating for about ten years with the Famiglia Palmieri Foundation, born from the will of Marco Palmieri, President of Piquadro, with the aim of creating a reality that goes beyond mere assistance, focused on enhancing diversity through the creation of new business models that allow people with disabilities to express their creativity in an entrepreneurial and competitive circuit, a source of income as well as social integration. Three initiatives have been conceived and implemented so far. The first project, Happy Box, directly involved the guests of a socio-rehabilitation center in the province of Bologna who, assisted by Piquadro designers, created patterns for bags that were then sold through the company's distribution network. The proceeds from the sales of Happy Box financed the center and the purchase of equipment, including a new vehicle for transporting people with disabilities.
Piquadro's new eco-friendly collections are the result of in-depth research aimed at creating products with reduced environmental impact as part of a serious sustainability project. The objective is fully achieved through the use of 100% recycled nylon, obtained from industrial waste.
We are extremely rigorous and transparent about the sustainability of our production. We are one of the very few companies in the world that guarantee the quantity of recycled material used in their products. That's why we have introduced the PQ Recycled Index.
Every Piquadro product in the GREEN collections features the PQ-Recycled Index®, an index created by Piquadro to indicate the ratio between the weight of recycled material used in that product and the total weight of material used to make it.
The packaging and product merchandising are also made from recyclable materials.
