Fingerprint security system

Fingerprint Lock

How to register and delete fingerprints, read the status lights, charge the lock and use the electronic key in an emergency. For Piquadro bags, backpacks and suitcases with a fingerprint lock.

01

Before you start

  • Charge the lock as soon as you receive the product, before registering any fingerprint.
  • Until a fingerprint is registered, the lock opens with any finger.
  • Once a fingerprint is registered, the lock opens only with the registered fingerprints.
  • The first fingerprint registered is the administrator's. Fingerprints two to ten belong to users: up to 10 in total.
  • Adding or deleting a fingerprint always requires the administrator's authorization.
  • To register a fingerprint, press the same finger on the sensor at least 10 times.

Status lights

The light next to the sensor tells you what the lock is doing.

  • BlueReady to register
  • RedError
  • GreenRegistration successful
02

Register the administrator fingerprint

  1. Unlock the lock, then press and hold a finger on the sensor until the blue light stays on.
  2. Straight away, press the same finger on the sensor more than 10 times, changing its angle slightly each time.
  3. The green light stays on for 2 seconds and then turns off: the administrator fingerprint is registered.

A red light during registration means the sensor read the same part of the finger twice: move the finger slightly and carry on.

03

Add a user fingerprint

  1. Unlock the lock, then press and hold a finger on the sensor until the red and blue lights flash alternately. Release the finger.
  2. Straight away, press the administrator's finger to authorize. If a red light comes on, the authorization failed: press the administrator's finger again.
  3. Press the new user's finger at least 10 times, always the same finger (at least 5 times on locks with Bluetooth).
  4. The green light stays on for 2 seconds and then turns off: the fingerprint is registered.

A red light during registration means the sensor read the same part of the finger twice: move the finger slightly and carry on.

04

Delete a fingerprint

  1. Unlock the lock, then the administrator presses and holds a finger on the sensor: after the blue and red lights, the red light flashes. Release the finger.
  2. Press the administrator's finger: if the red light stays on, the deletion is complete.
  3. If the red light keeps flashing, the deletion failed: press the administrator's finger again.
05

Battery and charging

If the green light flashes when you touch the sensor, the battery is low: recharge it soon so the lock keeps working.

  1. Open the silicone cap and connect a USB Type-C cable (5 V DC).
  2. Charging takes about 1.5 hours; the green light turns off when the battery is full.
  3. Unplug the cable and close the silicone cap to keep water and dust out of the lock.

Do not use fast chargers or high-voltage charging.

06

Pair the electronic key

Every product comes with an electronic key that opens the lock in an emergency and restores the factory settings. Pair it the first time you use the product.

  1. Insert the electronic key into the lock's charging port and press a finger on the sensor.
  2. The green light flashes for 2 seconds: the key is paired.

Once paired, the key works only with this lock.

07

Emergency opening and factory reset

  1. Insert the electronic key into the lock's charging port and press a finger on the sensor.
  2. The green light flashes for 2 seconds and the lock opens, returning to its factory settings.
  3. Register the fingerprints again, starting with the administrator's.
